Cat gives this Book 5 Meows with a 2 Purr heat index...
Hi Y’all! Come in and grab some stroganoff and a cold drink while I tell you about this book I just read.
The title is The Curse of Moonseed Manor by D. Lieber. The cover is intriguing and goes well with the title. Then I read the blurb and it really got my interest because mystery, curses and romance? Yes!
Who’s my favorite main character? Wren but Corey is a very close second. I loved Wren’s strength and compassion but the mysteriousness of Corey was so compelling.
The main setting is Moonseed Manor though the story begins in Wren’s hometown and it’s several chapters before we get to Moonseed Manor. I loved the mystery around the Manor.
The story is a Mystery with a touch of romance and a little supernatural.
Were there significant plot twists and turns? Yes. I can’t really say without spoilers so I’ll leave you with this… what we find out about Corey is worth reading.
What did I like best? I think I found one of the best romantic lines ever.
“Are you a blessing sent to save me in my darkest hour? Or are you but one last torment?”
If I hadn’t already fell in love with Corey this would have sealed it.
I loved the ending. It was HEA. And I let out a sigh of relief that it was how nail biting and exciting can you get?
How hot was the book? It is a very slow burn. There is lots of passion but little on page sex.
If you like mystery, curses, romance, fabulous characters and an overall good book with just a hint of supernatural that’s hard to put down you will love this.
