He's got a hot arm, and an even hotter temper.
So when his minor league team brings in seasoned catcher Jackson Evans to "handle" him, the two clash instantly.
But as the two battle for power, anger gives way to lust, and an awakening Connor didn't see coming.
If Jackson wants to be 'hands on,' they might as well enjoy it. But once again, the man makes Connor work for it. Just like he does on the field.
Only this time, the reward is so much sweeter. When Connor gives in to Jackson's coaching, and Jackson gives in to his attraction, they're instantly on a hot streak—on the field and in bed.
So hot that Connor finally gets that call to the majors he's always wanted.
But what's a pitcher to do without the catcher who owns his heart? Now all Connor needs is to convince Jackson they belong to each other forever, not just on a baseball diamond.

Connor is an up and coming pitcher in the minor leagues that could be great, but he's cocky and doesn't take direction well.
The league brings in Jackson, a great catcher and batter that, for some reason, just hasn't hit the big leagues. They figure if anyone can whip Connor into shape, it will be Jackson.
Jackson thinks his sexuality is what's kept him from the big leagues and, though he's only a few grand slams from setting the minor league record, he doesn't feel good enough.
Then he meets Connor and old feelings awaken. He's glad Connor is straight until Connor starts flirting with him.
The story is really good. There's this animosity at the beginning where they don't like each other, but this is sexual tension that creeps up and ratchets as the story goes.
As always, the characters are amazing and though this is supposed to be stand alone story, I hope we get more of some of these guys.
And if you're a Beth Bolden fan you will find an Easter egg. I loved this character from the Piranahs popping up and adding a touch of humor.
If you like Sexual awakening (gay for you) teammates to lovers, kinda enemies to lovers, forced proximity, opposites attract, a little slow burn but once they are together oh my!... and a fabulous age gap, then this is for you.
A lifelong Pacific Northwester, Beth Bolden has just recently moved to North Carolina with her supportive husband. Beth still believes in Keeping Portland Weird, and intends to be just as weird in Raleigh.
Beth has been writing practically since she learned the alphabet. Unfortunately, her first foray into novel writing, titled Big Bear with Sparkly Earrings, wasn’t a bestseller, but hope springs eternal. She has published over forty novels and novellas.
