Instead of mourning his mother or living the dream he’d had since he was a little boy, Gabriel stepped up to take care of his two brothers, both underage. It wasn’t easy, especially since the eight-year-old, Brandon, was traumatized and acting out from losing his parents.
He takes the boys to see Santa at the mall. While waiting in line, he has time to reflect. Gabriel wasn’t one to feel sorry for himself, but he missed the things he felt he’d never have.

But the boys also add loads of humor. Tristan is sweet but 8 year old Brandon stole the story.
I love a good age gap and this is a perfect example...sweet with just enough heat.
I highly recommend.
Rain Carrington is a mother of three first, a girlfriend, a pet parent, and writer. Long wishing to put words to paper, she waited until her children were grown to get in the writing game.
Born in New Mexico and raised in Colorado, she takes the love of those two states into most of her stories but doesn’t stop there. Traveling the US extensively, she uses what she learns and loves from each into other stories.
Starting on writing sites in 2011, she soon found that dreams can come true no matter what age, and in 2013 published her first novel, Honky Tonk. From there, many series and over thirty books have brought her characters into the homes and hearts of readers.
Now delving into young adult novels, she continues to write adult novels, branching into different genres to keep it fresh.
