All terms that would describe my current predicament.
Just a few months ago, I was happy as can be, reuniting with my childhood friend and realizing she was the one for me.
Then, the senator entered the picture—aka my father—and everything went sideways.
Now Isla looks at me with distrust. The love that used to shine bright in her eyes is replaced with wariness. I’d give anything for a do-over, but since that’s not going to happen, I’ll have to find another way to make it up to her.
So, when she gets a job offer in New York, I go with her, eager to be of any help I can.
But I may also be holding back another secret. I’m not exactly certain it’s safe for her to go. Which will be another strike against me if I get caught.
Enter Fox.
He’ll be my backup, working with me to ensure her safety at all times. I know I can’t follow her wherever she goes. Eventually, she’ll push me away.
It’s a foolproof plan. It can’t fail.
At least, that’s what I thought.
Cat gives this book 5 Meows with a 3 purr heat index...
This is a part 2 of a 3 part storyline, and book 25 in the series. You really should read the entire series in order as there is an ongoing series ARC, plus some mini ones and some of the character's cross over into other books.
When the one main arc was kind of resolved in release point, I wasn't sure how this series was going to support so many more books till the end. But, wow did she come through.
This is book two in this three part story plot and my mind was blown. It's right there with Release Point!
Guilia Lagomarsino has a way of making you love characters that maybe you shouldn't (Fox and Knight). And now twisting a good guy like Cash to where you don't like so much anymore. Yes, I would love to step through the book and slap some since into him.
The story is page turning, action packed, filled with twists and turns and an extremely shocking Cliffhanger. Oh, don't let me forget the humor.
I've quit saying this is the best yet because I've learned that yes, she can top a story when you think it's untoppable (the afore mentioned Release Point).

I'm a stay at home mom that loves to read. Some of my favorite titles are Pride and Prejudice, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Horatio Hornblower. I started writing when I was trying to come up with suggestions on ways I could help bring in some extra money. I came up with the idea that I could donate plasma because you could earn an extra $500/month. My husband responded with, "No. Find something else. Write a blog. Write a book." I didn't think I had anything to share on blog that a thousand other mothers hadn't already thought of. I decided to take his challenge seriously and sat down to write my first book, Jack. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed writing. From there, the stories continued to flow and I haven't been able to stop. I hope my readers enjoy my books as much as I enjoy writing them. Between reading, writing, and taking care of three small kids, my days are quite full.
