I was waiting for this book, and it was worth the wait. At first I was as conflicted as Richard. He was hunting for Samantha for five years because he loved her and couldn’t get over her. Though it had been thirty years since they were together. So, he pines thirty five years and when he saw this witch he started having feelings and fell hard and fast? 

But it is a paranormal romance and I do like fated mates so I’m willing to overlook this slight start. Because this story has more twists than a Twizzler, and is full of action. It's a page turner for sure and I don’t know how many times my heart stopped while reading. 

You do need to read the first book first but it’s good too. I can’t wait till next year for the next one!

Tammy's Review of Color Blind by Andrew Grey @AndrewGreyBooks @TTCBooksandmore

Setting out on your own is tough, but for Mason Fullerton, who was born blind, it’s even more of a challenge. Mase decides that the key to independence and a life of his own is getting a job. His mother, who has always been there for support, isn’t so sure, but Mase is determined. He manages to secure an interview, and one of the men conducting it has a voice that wraps around him like a blanket.

Tyrone Phillips feels he’s a disappointment to his accomplished academic parents. They don’t understand that Ty would rather spend time with his computers and programs than people. Until he meets Mason at an interview and finds a kindred spirit. Too bad his parents aren’t going to see past the fact that Mason’s white.

When Mason is hired, Ty is assigned to help him get oriented. The two of them dance around each other, but mutual attraction tugs at both of them. A work friendship builds to more, with Ty and Mase trying to find their way… and if they have courage and allow their hearts to guide them, they could be going the same direction.

Tammy gives this one 4.5 Stars...

Mason is a bright if sheltered young man, much to his dismay. Born blind, he's lived on his own before, but had to move back home with his mom who redifines the term 'helicoptermom'. Ty also lives with his folks but for different reasons and could easily leave, but enjoys most of the benefits of living at home. While these are two decidedly different guys, they have so much in common and once thrust into one another's orbits, a fast friendship blooms into so much more. 

This is a short, sexy read with a lot of content for so few pages. Mason was my favorite character by far, though I loved the relationship that grew between him and Ty, his personality simply jumped off the pages for me. His mother though, that woman was just too much, and the reason I docked the story half a star. I wanted a resolution to some of her actions within the story that just kind of fell off and that bothered me. To say anymore would be a spoiler, you'll just have to read for yourself.

Andrew Grey is the author of over 100 works of Contemporary Gay Romantic fiction. After twenty-seven years in corporate America, he has now settled down in Central Pennsylvania with his husband, Dominic, and his laptop. An interesting ménage. Andrew grew up in western Michigan with a father who loved to tell stories and a mother who loved to read them. Since then he has lived throughout the country and traveled throughout the world.

Cat gives this box set 5 Meows...

I loved all of these books. It was my first foray into sports romance and I found I can enjoy those books without being knowledgable of the sport (hockey in this case). The books are exciting with compelling characters and Victor Kilinski will probably be my all-time favorite love to hate to love, character. He is snarky, cocky but yet if you look under that exterior, there is a man of honor and love. Dan is the perfect companion for him and holds his own with Vic.

The three books showcase them from the meeting, falling in love and as their love grows through some tribulations and turmoil. This is the perfect way to get all three books since you will want to read them all once you get going.

If you love hockey, unusual characters, snark, humor, and some hot M/M action, you will love this.

Tammy gives this book 4 Stars...

Brigitta is a teenager that has led a slightly sheltered life. Homeschooled and raised by free thinking, spiritual parents, she's somewhat naive and awkward with her peers, aside from her BFF. Trying to find her place in a world she's learning is bigger than her imagination while still grieving the loss of her grandparents, our protagonist also finds that the outside world can not only be beautiful and serene, it can also be dark and unyielding. Add to that the attraction and romance with Luke, the mysterious but endearing young man that has caught Brigitta's eye, who may not be who he seems, and what you have is an intriguing story. 

It took me a few chapters to get into the story, but from there I was completely engaged. I absolutely loved the world the Author created especially the spirituality aspect which is much like I tend to think. There was also a push and pull in within the story that sometimes pulled me out of the story, but when reflecting on it in later chapters, I realized the ARC the Author was aiming for, hope that makes sense. 

My favorite parts of this vibrant story were the last several chapters, especially the conversation with her father toward the end. Laugher through tears is hands down the best emotion and Bond brought that out in me with her words. And while I saw some reviews stating the reader couldn't relate to Brigitta or forgive some things within the story, I found her to be very relatable and also, at times reminding me of my own daughter at that age. I would definitely recommend this read and say that if the story intrigues you give it a go, hopefully you'll be happy in the end, as I was. 

Excerpt from The Summer of No Regrets...

"You can't be raw in front of people like that," he said. "They do that because they don't get it. You can't let them under your skin."

"Easy for you to say, Mr. Homeschooler. You live in the protective bubble."

"Maybe so," he said pensively. "But those people don't deserve your pain, Brigitta."

It was a surprising thought. I felt... known when he said it. Like he saw the me I don't show to anybody.

The highway ended in Westport. Luke kept going, down a narrow road and then up a sandy rise. The Pacific Ocean opened out in front of us, glorious with white caps—the first time I'd ever seen it. "Oh!" I exclaimed.

Luke drove all the way onto the beach. He jumped out of the driver's seat, ran around the Jeep and threw my door open. "We're here!" He seized my hands and pulled me to my feet. I tumbled after him, pelting across the sand. He ran directly into the waves without stopping to brace himself. "Woohoo!" he whooped. 

I followed him in. The water was heart-stoppingly cold, but all around us little kids and dogs were playing in it. My jeans stuck to my legs and I went splendidly numb. 

An older couple with a kite smiled at us.

A wave knocked me off my feet and Luke grabbed my waist to steady me.

We rode the waves in and chased them back out, holding hands and jumping. I felt wild and bold and dangerous. And Luke was sweeping me out to sea.

Cat gives this book 5 Meows with a 4 purr heat index...

When I accepted this review I did it from cover and author without reading the blurb. I’m a sucker for cowboys and haven’t read anything from Rain Carrington in years so it was no brainer. Then I realized it was a threesome. Am I totally opposed to MMM? No but I’m very picky about it. I’m glad I took a chance. This book is utterly brilliant. The characters are fabulous, there is a lot of plot even with some suspense and mystery I didn’t know I was getting so it was full of surprises for me.

Now for the romance. Wow. It’s sexy, Tony thinks he doesn’t want a man, little does he know it’s two he needs. The ménage is well-written and not sex for sex sake but adds a lot to the overall book and believe it or not growth of the main character. Bravo to a fantastic story! I have one question. When is book two? 

Rain Carrington is a mother of three first, a girlfriend, a pet parent, and writer. Long wishing to put words to paper, she waited until her children were grown to get in the writing game.

Born in New Mexico and raised in Colorado, she takes the love of those two states into most of her stories but doesn’t stop there. Traveling the US extensively, she uses what she learns and loves from each into other stories.
