Christie Landon, graphic designer, Manhattanite, and fierce gay party boy, needs a change. Now thirty, he figures it’s time to grow up and think about his future. When his best friend overdoses, Christie resolves to take a break from the city. He heads to a small house in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, to rest, recoup, and reflect.
But life in the country is boring despite glimpses of the hunky silver fox next door. When Christie’s creativity latches on to cooking, he decides to approach his widower neighbor with a plan to share meals and grocery expenses. David agrees, and soon the odd couple finds they really enjoy spending time together.
Christie challenges the boundaries of David’s closed world and brings out feelings he buried long ago. If he can break free of the past, he might find a second chance at happiness.

Christie is an out and proud city boy. After his best friend Kyle overdoses after a party, Christie gets a wake up call and decides to go deal with the house his Aunt left him in the country in PA.
David is Christie's hunky neighbor whose wife passed away two years prior, his kids are gone to college. Christie loves to cook, when he finds his Aunt's Bon Appétit collection, he fills his time cooking. He soon finds he is has too much food on his hands, so he makes a deal with David to cook a few times a week and they split cost for the meals. It doesn't take long before small town talk starts and people begin to wonder about the relationship, including David and Christie.
This is such a beautiful story. I won't say broken men this time but lost men. It's a story of second chances, growth and finding ones self. There is plenty of plot, a touch of drama and I have to say, their first sex scene was H.O. double T... Hot! It's not explicit per say, but so emotional. If you like second chances, friends to lovers, slow burning love stories, Mennonites, and all over beautiful romance with some hot man-sex... I highly recommend this.
