"Undercover Agents,Lucky Coins, Messed up wedding"
Undercover boyfriend is a mystery/ suspense with a touch of comedy. Think big , crazy, Hispanic wedding. While prepping for his sister Sophia's wedding, Marty Valdez's mom is also trying to fix him up too. He has invented imaginary people since he was young and has told them he has a boyfriend...a swimsuit model at that. Trying to figure what to do about not having a date for the dinner, he gets hit by a door drops his coin and bending to retrieve it meets a gorgeous man. One that happens to need a new cover.
Luke has been compromised in his undercover drug mission and trying to find a safe place. so when Martin blackmails him to be his boyfriend he figures one time and out, then things keep changing and he is deeper and deeper especially when Martin gets nearly killed in a men's room and there is a twist that ties Martin in tighter.
The story is Ok. It is an interesting mystery, the characters are quite good. I like Martin, Luke and of course his Momma and sister. The romance was sweet with a touch of heat towards the end.
I have heard and Liked some of Rusty Topsfield's performances, but will say this wasn't my favorite. He has a soft voice and it was almost too soft, like a whisper in places. His character voices mostly sounded the same and the women's voices were a bit strange.I will say there is a point when Luke speaks to Martin that is monumental and Rusty did nail that emotion. This just wasn't my favorite narrative.
If you like undercover agents, cartoon artists, weddings, mysteries and a good romance... you will like this book then.
Jacob Z. Flores lives a double life. During the day, he is a respected college English professor and mid-level administrator. At night and during his summer vacation, he loosens the tie and tosses aside the trendy sports coat to write man on man fiction, where the hard ass assessor of freshmen level composition turns his attention to the firm posteriors and other rigid appendages of the characters in his fictional world.
Summers in Provincetown, Massachusetts, provide Jacob with inspiration for his fiction. The abundance of barely clothed man flesh and daily debauchery stimulates his personal muse. When he isn’t stroking the keyboard, Jacob spends time with his daughter. They both represent a bright blue blip in an otherwise predominantly red swath in south Texas.

This sounds I ought to read rather than listen.

Thanks for the review. I agree with Mary, think this might be better to read. I hate it when it is hard to hear a narration.
