When Micheal’s attempts to find the Winter Court on the week of the solstice leave him with nothing but a bad cold, he fears he’ll be the first Riftkeeper to break ancient contracts. He’s too stressed to handle Ryan’s attempts to get him into the holiday spirit, but Ryan might know more about the magic of the season than Micheal realizes.

Michael's family has always been the peacekeeper of the magical realm, but Michael left home, went to college and got a job to escape all that or so he thought.
After a tragic accident, his cousin has killed the title passed to Michael. He has to figure out where to go for Winter Court and what to offer for a peacekeeping to keep a blizzard of epic proportion wiping them out.
This story had very good premise of a fun story. it turned out to not be my cup of tea. I think too many thigs were happening and the short pages we never got a chance to find out more about Michael or Ryan.
I would have liked this to be a full-length story, so we got more explanation of who Michael is why his family didn't take the job and a touch of romance with Ryan and Michael.
The Story is cute but left me wth too many questions and wanting more. If you like Pixie, fairies, magic, and talking, goldfish, you will like this story.
Cassia Rose is a big fan of tabletop games, staying up all night, and of coffee with far too much sugar. She lives on the East Coast with her small critters, more books than shelf space, and enough dice for the whole Dungeons and Dragons group. Her favorite time of year is autumn, especially Halloween, and the pumpkin-flavored everything that only lasts a few months before being replaced by peppermint. She likes road trips, usually to gaming and anime conventions, and manages to never get sick reading in the car. She enjoys working on costumes for Renaissance Faires and conventions, knee-high leather boots with lots of buckles, and wearing capes in public. She loves stories, especially the kind that have dragons, and has recently been introduced to the K-pop music genre. She likes to bake without bothering with measuring cups and has a great recipe for butterscotch-banana-corn muffins to share with anyone else who didn’t realize they were out of regular flour and thought they bought chocolate chips until they opened the bag.

Thanks for the review. It seems difficult to write a good short; I've read several reviews of holiday stories this season where the issue was it was too short.
