Love's Tethered Heart is a bittersweet story. Mico was a victim of a hate crime and interrupted before he was killed. Now he is hooked to a ventilator and catheter and feeding tube. He is paralyzed from the waist down. His family has taken on the tasks of taking care of him at home instead of a care facility.
Danny is commissioned to write a story on Mico. What he finds warms his heart. Danny finds a man that longs for love and life. In a few short weeks, Danny decides he wants to be a part of Mico's life, but it's not as easy as he thinks.
Love's Tethered Heart is beautifully written. I laughed, and I cried. Mico has a friend that is more like an adopted brother that was a victim of hate crime first blinded and abandoned by his family once they found he was gay. Mico called his parents, and they came from Albuquerque to Pennsylvania to get Adriane. Adriane's cute remarks about sight add a small touch of lightness to a very angsty story.
If you are looking for something different, a story of life, heartache and unlikely romance I highly recommend this story. It does have a satisfying Happy ending.
